A sensitization meeting on the 2026 Performance Contract for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) was held at the Municipal Chief Executive’s (MCE) Office to prepare officers for the upcoming performance assessment year.
The meeting brought together all Heads of Departments and Units within the Assembly, forming part of management’s efforts to ensure that key officers fully understand the expectations and targets set under the 2026 Performance Contract.
During the session, various performance indicators and assessment areas were presented and explained to management members. The presentation highlighted the key deliverables, performance benchmarks, and reporting requirements that departments and units are expected to meet within the year.
The sensitization aimed to equip departmental and unit heads with the necessary information and clarity on the performance indicators so they can effectively plan, coordinate, and implement activities that will contribute to the overall performance of the Assembly.
Participants were encouraged to align their departmental work plans and activities with the outlined indicators, ensuring that targets are achieved and the Assembly performs creditably in the 2026 assessment.
Management emphasized the importance of commitment, collaboration, and timely reporting from all departments and units to ensure the successful implementation of the performance contract.
The meeting concluded with an interactive session where participants asked questions and sought clarification on some of the indicators to enable them to adequately prepare and deliver on their assigned responsibilities.
The sensitization forms part of the Assembly’s continuous effort to strengthen performance management, accountability, and service delivery within the Municipal Assembly.
