The Nandom Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Anthony Ziniel, yesterday handed over 200 student desks to the Ghana Education Service (GES) Directorate for distribution to selected schools within the Nandom Municipality.
Speaking during the handover, the MCE stated that the 200 desks form part of a total of 1,000 desks being provided to schools in the Municipality. He explained that the remaining 800 desks are expected to arrive and will subsequently be distributed to beneficiary schools.
The 200 desks currently available have been allocated as follows:
- St. Andrews JHS – 50 desks
- Red Cross Basic School – 30 desks
- St. Cecilia Primary Block A – 60 desks
- Monyupelle JHS – 60 desks
The intervention forms part of efforts by the Nandom Municipal Assembly to address furniture shortages in schools and provide pupils with a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
Hon. Anthony Ziniel reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to supporting quality education and improving the learning conditions of pupils across the Municipality.
