REPORT ON HON. MCE RAYMOND NERO’S VISIT TO THE VARIOUS B.E.C.E EXAMINATION CENTRES IN THE NANDOM MUNICIPALITY

The Hon. MCE Raymond Nero on Monday 17th October, 2022 made visitations to the various designated B.E.C.E examination centers that included; Nandom Sec, Ko SEC and St. John’s Technical Institute. In his company was the Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Esther Abaching, her Assistant Director, Municipal Education Director and some senior staff of the education service in Nandom.

The purpose of visit was to extend his well wishes to the 814, 2022 B.E.C.E registered candidates consisting of 401 Males and 414 Females as they began their final exams. This year recorded Two (2) Male and Four (4) Female candidates who for some genuine reasons could not sit for the final examination. Again, information gathered was that, impressively this year there were no pregnant girls or breast feeding mothers as compared to previous years.

Hon. Raymond Nero in his goodwill message, told candidates it was the beginning of their future strives as it marks their maiden major exam which would be a determinant of what they would become tomorrow. In that regard, they must write the exam with all seriousness, be committed and ensure discipline in the examinational hall to avoid been found culpable of examination malpractices.

He however trusted an enabling environment had been created through a keen-sighted orientation of candidates on how to answer examination questions, the Hon. MP Ambrose P. Dery duly sponsoring their Mock exams, ensuring the procuring and distribution of mathematical sets to candidates in addition to making available lunch and water throughout the scheduled days for the examination.

He further reminded candidates of taking advantage of the Free Senior High School Education policy for all to be educated and not deny themselves of such an opportunity.

Hon. MCE, lastly encourage them to choose schools in the Municipality than considering schools outside of it. He created the indulgence of Head Teachers and Teaching Staff to be guided when the time comes for their school selections.
