The Hon. Municipal Chief Executive of the Nandom Municipal Assembly joined students of the Midwifery Training College in Nandom to launch their 13TH SRC week celebration.

The theme for the celebration was “Unearthing the entrepreneur and leadership potentials of the student midwifery: A drive to national development”.

The launch was chaired by the Municipal Police Commander, ASP Lawrence Adombire. The chair urged students to emulate the footsteps of their forebearer Florence Nightingale who herself by the pursuit of her career was an entrepreneur.

On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive who was the guest speaker also encouraged students to develop their entrepreneurial tendencies whilst in school so as to impact same during their practice in the private or public sector. He also urged them to take advantage of the You Start Program being implemented by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to start their own businesses after completion.

He concluded by encouraging the student to be persistent in whatever they do as persistence was the key to success.

Other personalities who graced the occasion included the Assistant Director of the Nandom Municipal Assembly Mr. Emmanuel Awapuani, Wuoyang Martin the NPP Constituency Secretary and some Security personnel..
