MCE VISITS TO NAAPAL, TAMPALE, TANTUO AND PUFFEIN COMMUNITIES ON THE 9TH OF AUGUST, 2022.

On the 9th of August, 2022, Hon. MCE, Raymond Nero made visits to some communities in respect to his random monitoring of ongoing projects in the Municipality.

His first point of call was at the Ambulance Service Department which shares the same premises with the Ghana National Fire Service outfit in Naapal. He together with some Heads of Department and Senior Staff of the Assembly led by the Works Department team organized a handing over site event which was graced by some security agency heads, Nandom Naa, some sub-chiefs and few key stakeholders in the Municipality.

This event was followed up when a protracted clarion call was made to the Assembly concerning the quest for an operational office space by the Nandom Ambulance service department which would aid to hasten and improve their quality of service delivery to the people. In a swift response to this, the Assembly in its common fund had made an allocation to construct a 1No. 2-Unit offices and a watch room with ancillary facilities.

The timeline for the project was 4 months as pronounced by the contractor in his acceptance remarks. He assured all present that he would do the right thing and also deliver a good quality work under the supervision of the works department of the Assembly serving as the project consultant.

Hon. MCE’s next visit was to the Tampale community where together with some community leaders commissioned a borehole funded by the Assembly and the Hon. MP, Ambrose Dery to cater their access to portable drinking water. He later met and engaged with some community members who were happy to have had such an opportunity to lay their developmental needs directly to him.

He thanked the people for their continuous support to the development of Nandom.

Hon. Raymond Nero made a quick stop with the team in the Tantuo Community to inspect an uncompleted Nurses Chips compound building. Mr. Bright Kpabitey, the Municipal Works Engineer said the building would be attended to in the coming days since the community see it us an immense benefit hence, willing to also support the project with their widow’s mite until its completion. He gave a vivid description of the building plan and assured the Hon. MCE of an excellent final edifice all things been equal.

In ending his visits for the day, he took the opportunity to inspect the ongoing Puffein-Tanzu-Segru Phase Two road construction project. He was happy to have met the contractors on site working assiduously and steadily to bringing development through roads to the Municipality. He congratulated them for their fast pace of work and encouraged them to keep it up.
