NANDOM MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY TO HOST REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL FARMERS DAY CELEBRATION 2022

The Hon. MCE, Raymond Nero on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 made visitations to Junior High Schools in the Nandom Municipality. This visitation was on behalf of the Hon. MP, Ambrose P. Dery whose immense support through the MP Common Fund saw to the sponsoring of the final year students’ mock exams to prepare them adequately for the main BECE exams which is scheduled to commence on 17th October, 2022. These official visits were to the Danko, Monyoupelle, Mary Immaculate R/C, Gengenkpe, Baseble and Panyaan/Yirpelle D/A JHS amongst others.

Being the Hon. MP’s Principal mouthpiece, he relayed the good message to the affected candidates saying the Member of Parliament saw it necessary to support parents by procuring students’ Mathematical sets to aid their wards in preparing for the final exams.

He said the Hon. Member of Parliament assures them of the provision of Lunch and Water on all days of the examination but that notwithstanding, he is encouraging them to learn hard, exit with good grades to uplift the image of the constituency and get admissions to their choice of schools.

The Hon. MCE, further encouraged them to make use of the Senior High Schools in the Municipality citing the likes of ST. Francis, Nandom SHS & Ko Senior High Schools whose academic performances over the years have been consecutively remarkable therefore, advised them not to opt for far away schools where they may be made Day Students resulting to many challenges they might later incur. He further asked the Teachers to guide them in the schools selection process and with that, it is their responsibility to assess their academic strength to put them in a convenient position all things being equal.

His final words to the final year students was to see education as a spring board to elevate them to the next level in their individual life endeavors hence, must take this examination very seriously. He urged the teachers to tackle the competent areas and also assist with the best approach in answering examination questions.

The Head teachers were grateful for the great affection offered by the Hon. Member of Parliament and the Hon. MCE to the students. They said it was motivational enough to produce better results for the constituency.

On his way to Vapore community to inspect the ongoing establishment of a Nurses Chips Compound project, he stopped by to interact with a disabled woman who he commended for been able learn a skill to at least rake in some income to support herself and family. He assured her of making available a modern swivel wheel chair to replace the existing one and also to liaise with the Social Welfare and Community Development Director to engage her in most of the Person’s With Disability activities of the Assembly.
